This picturesque tour takes you over the mountains to the seaside town of Hermanus. Set between mountains and the sea, Hermanus is not only very striking but offers some of the greatest land based opportunities for whale watching in the world (August – November).
Close sightings of the Southern Right whale are likely. On the drive back we follow the coastline, which gives further possibility of whale (and even dolphin) sightings. A stop is made at Stony Point, near Betty’s Bay to see the penguin colony (optional, for own account & time permitting). In the afternoon return to Cape Town via Sir Lowry’s Pass.
Scenic Coastal Route - Leave from Cape Town.
For this tour, we depart from the Cape Town City Centre at around 08:30 am. Cape Town is a dynamic and beautiful city that is consistently named as one of the top tourist destinations in the world. Filled with great sights, top class restaurants and friendly people; a visit to this picturesque city is infinitely memorable.
Cape Town’s distinctive architecture is a legacy from the many people and cultures who have settled here over the past few centuries. As we make our way through town you might notice an unusual gable design on many of the buildings, this was brought into the Cape by the early Dutch settlers of the 1600 and 1700’s.
We will head out of town on the N2 Highway.

We saw whales in Hermanus (Walker Bay) and even by a ship cruise. Although the weather was strong we enjoid the trip. Tracy, our guide gave us a lot of informations and made it possible to visit the pinguin colony in Betty's Bay and a lovely national botanical garden.
